Matthew and Melinda started A DJ Connection as a team in Norfolk VA where they met in college in 1986. They worked as a DJ team throughout their college years with a single system in the Virginia Beach area from 1986 - 1989. After graduating college they married in 1989 and moved their home and then already successful business to Pensacola FL. the same year. The goal was and is to bring cutting edge ideas, forward thinking, creative and new entertainment, to Florida, Alabama and Mississippi's Gulf Coast. They have since built the company into one of the Country's largest (Non-Franchise) DJ Services employing a staff of more than 10, and serving more than 12 cities along the Gulf Coast from Biloxi Mississippi to Seaside Florida. They aim to exceed your expectations in every way, and continue to set the standard in the Mobile DJ industry. Their company now performs over 1000 shows per year.

They are a Christian family and attend church in Pensacola. They know that they have been blessed and give God thanks daily. They love living on the Gulf Coast, and in the USA.
